Family Story #1
Our family is incredibly grateful for the support we received from A Time 2 Hope. When our daughter shared her dream of dancing on a team, we wanted to do everything we could to make it possible. Dance is something that brings her joy and confidence, but the cost of classes, costumes, and performance fees was more than we could manage at the time. We never wanted finances to stand in the way of her passion. Because of A Time 2 Hope, she was able to participate in an entire dance season. Her tuition was covered, along with every costume, performance outfit, and competition entry. She was able to perform at Universal Studios, dance at Knotts, and compete on stage with her team. All of these experiences that created memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. We watched her grow in confidence, skill, and pride. She felt supported, valued, and part of something meaningful. Seeing her shine on stage was a reminder of how powerful community can be. We are deeply thankful for A Time 2 Hope. This experience gave our daughter more than just a season of dance , it gave her belonging, joy, and the opportunity to chase a dream.

Our family would like to share our heartfelt thanks to A Time 2 Hope for making it possible for our daughter to participate in musical theater this year. She has always loved to sing and perform, but the costs of tuition, costumes, rehearsal accessories, and show fees were more than we could take on. We worried that she would have to watch from the audience instead of stepping onto the stage where her heart truly belongs. Because of the support from A Time 2 Hope, she was able to be part of a full musical theater production. Her rehearsals were covered, her costumes were provided, and every performance opportunity was made possible. She learned choreography, practiced her vocal parts, and worked as part of a cast that quickly became a second family to her. Over the course of the season, we watched her confidence grow. She found her voice, she learned how to express herself, and she felt proud of what she accomplished. Standing under the lights on show night, hearing the applause, she knew she belonged there. We are incredibly grateful for what this experience gave her. With the financial help, A Time 2 Hope provided her joy, self confidence, and a place where she feels seen and celebrated. We will remember this with full hearts for many years to come.

We are so thankful for A Time 2 Hope for helping our daughter attend her 8th grade camp. This was something she had been looking forward to since elementary school. All of her friends were going, and she wanted to experience the cabins, the camp activities, and the chance to be part of the memories everyone talks about for years. When we realized the cost of camp was more than we could manage, we were heartbroken at the thought that she might have to stay behind. Because of the support from A Time 2 Hope, she was able to go to camp without us worrying about any of the expenses. Her camp fees, meals, and activities were all covered. She got to participate in the nature hikes, team challenges, night games, and all of the bonding that makes 8th grade camp so special. She came home with stories about new friendships, conquering fears, and laughing late into the night with her cabin. She gained confidence. She felt included. She felt just like every other student, no limitations and no worries. We are truly grateful. A Time 2 Hope gave her more than a trip. It gave her a memory she will carry forever, a moment of belonging, and the joy of knowing that her dreams matter.

As a single mother, I want to give my daughter every opportunity I can. Her father is currently incarcerated, and I have been doing my best to provide for her on my own. Dance has always been where she finds joy, confidence, and a place to express herself. But with the cost of classes, costumes, shoes, and performances, I knew I could not afford to keep her enrolled on my income alone. It was heartbreaking to think of taking away something that brings her so much happiness. A Time 2 Hope stepped in and made it possible for her to continue dancing. They covered her tuition, competition fees, and every costume she needed throughout the season. Because of their support, she was able to perform proudly alongside her team at Universal Studios, Knotts, and at multiple dance competitions. She felt included, supported, and proud to be part of something bigger than herself. I watched her come alive again. Dance became her outlet, her safe place, and her way of working through big emotions. She grew stronger, more confident, and more connected. She knows that even though her father cannot be present right now, she is still surrounded by people who believe in her and want to see her shine.

Our family is very thankful to A Time 2 Hope for helping our son attend his 6th grade science camp. This is a trip that so many children look forward to, and he was no exception. He talked about camp for months and could not wait to explore the outdoors, learn new things, and experience being away with his classmates. When we realized the cost of the camp was more than we could manage, we were afraid we would have to tell him he could not go. Because of the support from A Time 2 Hope, he was able to attend camp with his class. His camp fees, meals, and activities were all covered. He got to learn about nature, study science hands-on, try new challenges, and make memories that he has not stopped talking about since he returned home. He came back more confident, more responsible, and proud of himself for being brave and trying new things. He formed friendships that will carry into the next school year, and he felt included in something that is such a big milestone for kids his age. We are truly grateful. A Time 2 Hope did not just send him to camp. They gave him the gift of belonging, learning, and growing at a moment that he will remember forever.

Our family is incredibly grateful to A Time 2 Hope for their support during a very difficult time. When one of our child’s parents was unexpectedly incarcerated for 90 days, everything in our home changed. We were doing our best to adjust and stay strong, but finances became tight quickly. Taekwondo had been an important outlet for our son, helping him build confidence, discipline, and emotional strength. We worried that we would have to pull him out right when he needed it most. A Time 2 Hope stepped in and covered his Taekwondo tuition for three months while we worked to get back on our feet. Because of their support, he was able to continue training, learning new skills, earning stripes, and staying connected with coaches and teammates who encouraged him. Taekwondo became a steady routine during a time when everything else felt uncertain. We watched him become more confident, more focused, and more grounded. It helped him cope with missing his parent, and it gave him a positive place to release stress and feel proud of himself. Instead of feeling left out or falling behind, he grew stronger in every way. We are deeply thankful. A Time 2 Hope did more than provide tuition. They helped our son maintain stability, strength, and hope during a difficult season.
